I am passionate about landscaping, especially the groundwork and civil engineering elements that are the foundation for all great garden designs - and have been since a very young age.

I believe the industry is going through a major challenge with skills shortages and an ageing workforce, as well as a responsibility to play its part in a lower carbon future.

I formed my company, Gunns Contractors, to bring the experience from my time on construction sites, to the landscaping industry, using innovative technology, specialised machines and alternative working practices to help combat the challenges we face.

With my business I now work with across a wide range of areas including sports turf, private gardens, large estates and the RHS flower shows, supporting the contractor and designer with the complex logistics needed to build a show garden in such a short timeframe.

I showcase my work through social media, especially YouTube, which has been very successful in raising awareness of the industry and the variety of work within it, something I believe is key if we are to start making inroads on bringing people into our beloved industry.
