Marcus Potter
Lantra CEO, Marcus Potter, joined the charity in 2014, following an early career in finance and more than twenty years with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors where he was instrumental in developing and implementing the strategy to make RICS the premiere international body for property professionals.
Since 2014, Marcus has focused on building Lantra’s training and qualifications business which annually certifies more than 110,000 people; ensuring that they have the skills to work productively, safely, and sustainably in a wide range of land-based and environmental industries. Lantra has also become the leading provider of end point assessment for apprentices in the sector and is a trusted partner of Scottish and Welsh governments, and the Health and Safety Executive, regularly delivering projects to attract talent, build workforce skills.
Marcus attributes Lantra’s success to building close relationships with a wide range of industry stakeholder and working collaboratively to meet industry needs. The success of training and qualifications, now enables Lantra to invest in a wider range of services for its industries, including careers promotion and information, and researching current and future skills needs.
Marcus holds a degree in Economics and an MBA from Warwick University Business School.
