Kirsty Alexander is a Creative Partner at environmental charity Hubbub, and is the Project Lead for the Greener Communities Fund. The fund is a partnership between Hubbub and NHS Charities Together, funded by the Starbucks 5p Cup Charge, that awarded 10 NHS charities with funding to create green spaces and improve access to nature. The projects all aims to bring together the benefits of green spaces for our environment as well as the health, social and wellbeing benefits of spending time in nature. Alongside the NHS charities, Kirsty has worked closely with 4 ‘Pilot Projects’ located at hospitals, GP surgeries and in communities that have experimented with different approaches to engage patients, staff and local residents with nature-based activity.
