John is an award-winning garden designer and founder of Aoba Landscapes, a London based garden design and build company.

Previously the global marketing director of an international technology firm, John decided to follow his passion and retrain as a garden designer, graduating with distinction from the London College of Garden Design at Kew Gardens in July 2015. Now pursuing his long- term ambition John is delighted to be able to create beautiful outdoor spaces that will evolve over time and be enjoyed by his clients for many years to come.

In 2016, John designed his first show garden in collaboration with Tom Massey. The ‘Border Control’ garden, supported by UNHCR, was awarded an RHS Gold Medal and the Best Conceptual Garden at the Hampton Court Flower Show 2016.
