Joe began his career as a landscape gardener in 1996 and has lived and worked in the UK, Southern France and Spain.

He studied garden design at the Oxford College of Garden Design and landscape architecture at Greenwich University. As a garden designer and landscaper, Joe has worked for some of the best-known landscape companies, including Hillier Landscapes alongside Sarah Eberle, and The Outdoor Room where he was manager for 10 years..

Joe approaches each garden or landscape design as a unique response to the site and to the client brief. He has a passion for sustainable and sympathetic landscape design and firmly believes that a strong narrative is key to delivering a scheme which has real context and a sense of place.

Chelsea Flower Show

In 2019 Joe won an RHS Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal, Best in Category  and Best Construction awards for his garden ‘Beyond the Screen’, sponsored by Facebook. In 2022 Joe was commissioned again by Meta to produce the Gold medal winning ‘Growing the Future’ garden on Chelsea’s Main Avenue.
