Adam Stoter
Born and raised in central London, horticulture was never on the radar for me. My journey began with a brief stint in a football academy, followed by various jobs, and even a short foray into forensic science. However, it wasn't until 2011 when I found myself paying the rent as a litter picker at St James's Park that I discovered my true passion - gardening.
After seizing the opportunity to join the gardening team, I completed the Royal Parks horticultural apprenticeship at Hyde Park and then a park management traineeship at Greenwich Park through the heritage lottery funded Greenwich Park Revealed project. I have worked my way up to Assistant Park Manager, overseeing the horticultural apprenticeship program for the Royal Parks.
A passionate advocate and supporter of horticultural training through apprenticeships and outreach projects, including the 'Future Gardeners' initiative by BOST. I hope my work continues to inspire others into the horticultural industry.
My passion has led me to become a London in Bloom and RHS plant trial judge, while also serving as a committee member for the Royal Parks Guild and London Gardens Network, creating opportunities for industry professionals and trainees to come together.
